Susan Spillman is a working poet and lives in Wichita, Kansas with her husband and two children. She earned her MFA from Wichita State University where she taught literature and composition, her BA in English from the University of Virginia, and her JD from Case Western Reserve University where she served as an adjunct professor of law. In addition to writing poetry, she maintains her law license and tutors interested students in literature and writing. Her poems have appeared in Kansas Voices, New York Times Online Editor’s Picks, Naked City, Phi Kappa Phi, and Mikrokosmos. She recently completed her first book, Daring Rescue. Susan was a finalist for 2010 The Tusculum Review Poetry Prize.
