Rachel Swatzell is a Senior Creative Writing and Literature major at Tusculum University. Swatzell is published in The Blue Route, The Tusculum Review, The Mildred Haun Review, SHIFT: a publication of MTSU Write, and Entropy Magazine. Swatzell is the recipient of the 2018-2019 Curtis Owens Literary Award for poetry and drama. She currently serves as the Assistant Editor and Featured Artist Editor for The Tusculum Review, as well as the Grant Editor for Student Persistence and Engagement at Tusculum University.
