Sonnet II
I love being drunk Then I don’t
I love drinking A summoning
I look at the women and the women
look scared The days of Hollywood are over
and these cinders are all that’s left
of the evening’s meal A feast A candy
store in my brain The historical and personal
significance of intercourse
I believe in saving myself
for marriage A number to call
like a breast to suckle My past
riddled with ignorance and delusion
A jugular vein leaking
the most interesting colors
