Jason Koo was born in New York City and grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. The recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Vermont Studio Center, the University of Houston and the University of Missouri-Columbia, he has published his poetry and prose in numerous journals, including The Yale Review, North American Review and The Missouri Review. He currently lives in New York, where he teaches at NYU and Lehman College and serves as Poetry Editor of Low Rent. “2046 Love Songs of Wong Kar Wai” can be found in Koo’s brand new collection, Man on Extremely Small Island, (C&R Press), winner of the 2008 De Novo Prize.
