when i was young, i

had the idea that son

house, skip james, charlie

patton, all those rough

old bluesmen carried

static around w/ them,

every time they performed

on voice & guitar they

were accompanied by

crackling static      is

that why you can’t

 understand me? i’m

blind willie, singing my

static-filled blues to you

 dog’s weather

 gone, like a sad old candle

 my misspent youth

 shutting down
